INTRODUCTION
Men from the tribe of Issachar in Israel were men of understanding and wisdom (1 chronicles 7:5, Rev. 7:7). They were astute and perceptive. They were able to discern the time to decide when to join David. They could see how things were going and knew what Israel needed to do at every particular point in time.
Honestly , many of us are so frivolous , mindless and heedless about the time we are in . Many so called believers have lost their serious values and purpose and the devil is using the limited time to re-strategise and take many away from the track .
We are in a time that what will derail you is not far fetched .
This should be so for Christians also. We need to discern and understand the times in which we live, and know how best to serve our Lord and generation especially at a perilous time like this when the love of many are waxing cold. (2 Timothy 3:1-6).
This time calls for prayers, boldness, intense evangelism, new ways of follow-up, better understanding of the word of God, above all we need to check our lives .
The signs of the end time as enumerated in the scripture are all around us today. For example: many are proclaiming to be the Christ, wars and rumours of wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes, killings of Christians, rising of false prophets and false teachings, lawlessness in the Church, sorrows all over the place etc.
Our lifestyle as children of God must reward others . Your sensitivity to God is a compensation to other Christians because you are able to know things of the spirit , able to pick up the things of the spirit and do the things of the spirit .
We are in a time where being a genuine child of God is very challenging but the end is glorious . We are in a time where being a casual Christian is very dangerous because God is coming for only those that worship Him in truth and in spirit . We are in a time where being an unbeliever is disastrous and the end is HELL !
We are in a time where ignorance is rubbing many of their testimony . We are in a time that the very elect are carelessly derailed from the truth Matt 24:24.
We are in a time where the TRUTH is very difficult to absorb John 8:32 . We are in a time of un-necessary hatred and dispute among brethren psalms 133:1-3 ,
HOW DO WE ESCAPE AS CHRISTIANS IN TIMES LIKE THIS?
We need to understand and discern the signs of the end time as prophesied in the Bible. There is need to respond accordingly so that we don’t become victims but victors by escaping from the dangers of this time. (1Tim.4:1-2), (2Tim. 3:1-7), (Jude 17-19), (Mt.24:24), (Psalm 10:3-4), (1John 2:16).
Apostle Paul advised us in summary as follows: (2 Tim. 3:5).
1) Receive the prophecies and the warnings and be cautious of it at all times.
2) We must separate from Christians with characters and traits of the end time.
3) We must avoid canal Christianity and false doctrine.
4) True teachers must distinct themselves from the false teachers. (1Tim. 6:3-5)
5) We must stand firm in the apostolic faith once delivered to the Saints. (Jude 3.)
6) We must be watchful and prayerful to guide against deception and temptations.
7) We must release ourselves to the Holy Spirit and be sensitive to His leading.
CONCLUSION: Any believer that want to make it to Heaven must heed to the warning and live a separate life to please the Lord.
